2. ITEM 3.0: Feature 455 <br /> The volume of concrete for this closure is reduced to fifty (50) cubic yards. <br /> CONTRACTOR shall provide delivery tickets for all concrete installed. <br /> 3. ITEM 3.0: Revegetation Requirements <br /> Commercial fertilizer and certified weed-free mulch is not required for this task. All <br /> backfilled areas shall be left in a roughened condition. <br /> 4. ITEM 4.0: <br /> The quantity of rockfill for this Bid Item is reduced to seventy-five (75) cubic yards. All <br /> rockfill selected for this task will weigh 5,000 pounds or less. Oversized concrete <br /> blocks will not be used. <br /> 5. ITEM 7.1: <br /> The volume of material required to backfill the highwall is reduced to sixteen hundred <br /> (1,600) cubic yards. Fill material will be collected from designated stockpile locations <br /> and placed against the highwall until a 1.5H:1V slope has been achieved or until all <br /> available material has been used. Placed material will be compacted as described in <br /> Item 7.1. <br /> The reduction of the upper highwall task is removed from this Bid Item and a hydraulic <br /> hammer is not required. <br /> 6. ITEM 7.2: <br /> The area for revegetation is reduced to one-half (0.5) acre. Only the backfilled slope <br /> will be roughened and seeded. <br /> Commercial fertilizer(Triton 4-6-2) and certified weed-free straw mulch is not required <br /> for this Bid Item. <br /> 7. ITEM 7.4: Additional Highwall Backfill (New Additional Bid Item) <br /> If required, this Item is to provide up to an additional four (4) hours of highwall <br /> backfilling at the Alps Junction Quarry site as described in Item 7.1. This Bid Item is <br /> not guaranteed and will only be used if directed by the PROJECT MANAGER. <br /> Measurement and Payment <br /> Payment for this task will be made at the unit price established in Item 7.4 of the Bid <br /> Schedule. Measurement for payment will be made to the nearest hour of backfilling <br /> operations performed. The price bid shall include all costs for equipment, labor, <br /> materials, fuel and all other items necessary and incidental to complete the task as <br /> describe. Payment shall be as this task is completed and approved by the PROJECT <br /> MANAGER. This Bid Item is not guaranteed. <br /> 8. The Bid Submittal date is Monday, August 14, 2023 by 4:00 p.m. The Bid Opening will <br /> be Tuesday, August 15, 2023. <br /> All terms and conditions of the Invitation for Bid other than as changed by this amendment <br /> remain the same. <br /> Receipt and acceptance of this amendment shall be acknowledged on the REVISED Bid <br /> Schedule.
