Measure and Payment
Payment for this task will be made at the unit prices established in Item 7.0 of the
Revised Bid Schedule. Measurement for payment will be made per Cross Vane structure
constructed. The price bid shall include all costs for labor, materials, equipment, and all
other items necessary and incidental to complete the tasks as described in Item 7.0.
Payment will be made upon completion of the described task and approval by the
PROJECT MANAGER.
4. ITEM 8.2. Prior to ripping the road surfaces, roads will be graded to a two percent (2%)
slope towards the diversion ditch to promote the direction of surface flows into the
diversion ditch. The measure and payment will be paid per acre of road surface graded.
Graded road acreage, measured to the nearest one tenth (1) acre, will be added to the
acreage graded at the Gold Run and River Level in order to calculate total acreage to be
paid under Item 8.2. All graded road segments will be revegetated at the conclusion of
these tasks.
5. ITEM 12.0 This item is NOT GUARANTEED and will only be executed if required by
Project Manager. Surface erosion on the road areas specified in the site map will be
mitigated with the construction of a diversion ditch, ripping and revegetation included in
items 8.2, 8.3 and 9. An alternate plan includes the installation of four (4) water bars
located on the specified road area to disperse surface flows. The location of these water
bars will be flagged by the PROJECT MANAGER at the time of construction.
The water bars will be a total of thirty three feet(33') in length with varying slope angles
to divert surface flows. The initial section will be at a slope no steeper then 51-1: IV, and
fifteen feet (15') long leading into an eight foot (8') section that is flat. The eight foot
flat section will be orientated at approximately a sixty degree (60°) angle as measured
from the line where the toe of the slope meets the road at the diversion ditch. Following
the eight foot (8') flat section a ten foot (10') berm whose side slopes shall be no greater
than 41-1: IV shall be constructed to prevent the surface flows from continuing down
gradient. (See Figure 5, attached for drawing).
Measure and Payment
Payment for this task will be made at the unit price for the materials, equipment and
operator required for the construction of water bars as outlined in Figure 5 and in the
above specifications. The price bid shall include all costs for labor, materials, equipment,
and all other items necessary and incidental to complete the tasks as described in Item
12.0. Payment will be made upon completion of the described task and approval by the
PROJECT MANAGER. This item is NOT GUARANTEED.
3
