COLORADO <br /> Division of Reclamation, <br /> Mining and Safety <br /> Department of Natural Resources <br /> 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215 <br /> Denver,CO 80203 <br /> DATE: October 27, 2014 <br /> TO: All Bidders on the Red Arrow Bond Forfeiture Project <br /> FROM: Lucas West, Division of Reclamation, Mining & Safety <br /> RE: Amendment No. 2 to PKA-15-1273 <br /> Thank you for your attendance at the Pre-Bid Meeting and your interest in the project. <br /> NOTE that handouts including maps and drawings were distributed at the pre-bid meeting and <br /> are hereby incorporated into the bid document. <br /> NOTE that a REVISED Bid Schedule is included with this Amendment. Bidders MUST use the <br /> REVISED Bid Schedule when submitting their bid. <br /> The following clarifications and amendments should be noted and incorporated into the bid <br /> document and: <br /> 1. ITEM 3.0 Mine carts located on the rail at the Gold Run Level do not need to be pushed <br /> into the adit unless such can be done so with reasonable effort. No more than (1)hour <br /> shall be expended in attempting to relocate the carts. <br /> 2. ITEM 4.0 The area designated as the consolidation pad is currently being used as <br /> equipment storage. A two foot(2') erosion control berm, with the footprint to be flagged <br /> by PROJECT MANAGER at the time of construction, will be built. The berm will be no <br /> taller than two feet(2') as measured from the adjacent ground level with maximum <br /> allowable slope of the sides being 2H: 1V. The dimensions for the compacted eight inch <br /> (8") access berm remain unchanged; location will be flagged by PROJECT MANAGER <br /> at the time of construction. <br /> 3. ITEM 5.0 All debris,personal equipment and tools to be moved to the consolidation area <br /> will be delineated by the PROJECT MANAGER. Measure and Payment for this task <br /> will be paid by the hour used in consolidating the debris and other personal property. <br /> Consolidation shall be done using a loader,truck and/or trailer of appropriate size or <br /> method of the CONTRACTORS choosing.
