ENVIRONMENTAL: SOLID, NON-HAZARDOUS WASTES <br /> Construction debris and excess materials shall be disposed of in a container X <br /> clearly marked "TRASH". <br /> Trash containers must be covered at all times to prevent wind-blown litter. X <br /> Employees must be instructed by the CONTRACTOR in procedures used to X <br /> segregate hazardous and non-hazardous wastes. <br /> All disposal activities must comply with federal and state regulations. X <br /> R. ENVIRONMENTAL: HAZARDOUS WASTES <br /> Contractor is responsible for all sampling, testing, and analysis of unknown N/A <br /> waste streams. <br /> Disposal of hazardous waste is the responsibility of the CONTRACTOR . X <br /> Contractor generated wastes such as equipment/machine oils, fuels, oily <br /> debris, residue paints, solvents, and containers containing same shall be X <br /> cleaned and disposed of in compliance with all local, state, and federal <br /> regulations. <br /> All containers will have CONTRACTOR 's name clearly marked on the X <br /> containers. <br /> Aerosol cans, oily rags, solvents and waste lubricants shall be segregated into X <br /> separate containers. <br /> All drums will be stored in an upright position, on pallets or similar device to X <br /> facilitate observation for leaks, corrosion or damage. <br /> All products used on job site must be approved by Colorado Division of <br /> Reclamation, Mining and Safety prior to their use and an MSDS kept at the X <br /> site. <br /> S. FIRE PROTECTION <br /> Specific procedures must be developed by the CONTRACTOR to ensure that X <br /> fire hazards are addressed and controlled. <br /> Use, storage and segregation of flammable and combustible materials must be X <br /> in accordance with NFPA regulations. <br /> Contractor will immediately notify Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining X <br /> and Safety project manager of any fire emergency. <br /> Provision for fire response must be addressed in plan approved by X <br /> Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety. <br /> Hot Work Procedures will be used to ensure welding, cutting and X <br /> grinding safety. <br /> These procedures shall include grinding, welding and cutting safety, <br /> bottle handling and storage, training for employees expected to perform X <br /> welding and cutting, fire watch procedures, and personnel protection <br /> during these operations. <br /> Compressed gas cylinders must be stored in upright position, secured to X <br /> prevent falling, regulators guarded on all sides. <br /> Oxygen and Acetylene cylinders not in used must be shut off, pressure bled X <br /> from hoses, regulators. <br /> Fire extinguishers must provided for all mobile equipment and at all X <br /> areas where hot work is being performed. <br />
