Equipment Operation <br /> Seatbelts shall be used at all times. Equipment always has the right-of-way. Safe parking procedures (chock <br /> blocks, etc.) shall be used at all times. All lights, horns, wipers, back-up alarms, and other safety equipment <br /> shall be fully operational at all times.All equipment and vehicles shall be equipped with at least one fire <br /> extinguisher. All mobile equipment, with the exception of pickup trucks with unrestricted rear view, will be <br /> equipped with back-up alarms. Mobile equipment shall be equipped with roll-over-protection (ROPS). All <br /> equipment shall have periodic maintenance completed to maintain a safe working conditions. <br /> Environmental:Liquid <br /> All liquids which could cause water pollution shall be minimized. This includes pollution caused by spills of <br /> materials and sedimentation run-off. Fueling areas shall be away from waters of the state and topsoil, <br /> executed in staging or graveled areas. Fluids will not be allowed to drain onto the ground for any reason. <br /> Any spill will be reported to the Project Manager immediately, regardless of size. The spill shall be cleaned <br /> up according to the State of Colorado and EPA guidelines. <br /> Environmental:Solid,Non-Hazardous Wastes <br /> JCI will dispose of all construction debris and excess materials or packaging off site, by transporting the <br /> materials via truck. All trash containers will have covers to prevent wind-blown litter. All site-generated <br /> wastes shall be disposed of properly offsite, per federal and state regulation. <br /> Environmental:Hazardous Wastes <br /> Any hazardous waste will be properly disposed of by JCI, if found onsite. Contractor generated wastes such <br /> as equipment/machine oils,fuels, oily debris, and containers containing the same shall be cleaned and <br /> disposed of in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. All containers which contain <br /> hazardous wastes shall be labeled with the contents. All SIDS sheets will be kept on file at the site. <br /> Fire Protection <br /> JCI will follow its own fire prevention plan on this project as well as any requirements the Project Manager <br /> may require. The use, storage and segregation of flammable and combustible materials will be in <br /> accordance with NFPA regulations. The Project Manager will be notified immediately of any fire related <br /> emergency on the job site. Fire extinguishers will also be provided for all mobile equipment. All JCI fire <br /> extinguishers are serviced per MSHA/OSHA regulations and are tagged accordingly. Each work crew will be <br /> supplied with two (2)five pound (5#) Class A fire extinguishers at all times.Additionally, each crew member <br /> must be supplied with one (1) sharpened round nosed shovel.These items will be kept nearby in case of an <br /> uncontrolled ignition on site. <br /> Page 2 of 3 <br />
