reclamation of the off-road travel areas. If the off-road travel areas require reclamation, they
are to be considered disturbed areas and must be included in Section 3. Please provide an
updated total project area to be disturbed including the offroad travel areas.
As stated in the NOI application,20 drill pads at approximately 1,000 sq. ft totaling 0.46 acres of
disturbance will be constructed.Under Item 6 in the NOI, it is stated that the drill sites will be
accessed by off-road travel routes which will be single use and avoid drainage bottoms, heavily
vegetated area, wetlands, and areas of soft ground. No ground disturbance requiring reclamation
of off-road travel routes is anticipated.
If any unanticipated disturbance occurs on the off-road travel areas, repairs will be conducted on
an as-needed basis at the discretion of the regulators and land management agency. Due to the
unknown location and quantity of any required access repairs,we suggest adding 0.54 acres of
DRMS's"New Roads"category to the bond estimate.Any access disturbances will be repaired
and reclaimed following the general reclamation procedures outlined in the NOT document.
Adding.54 acres of"New Roads"to the .46 acres of drill sites would bring the total project
disturbance area to 1.0 acre, which is already covered by the current bond. This allows a
contingency for any unanticipated access disturbances to be covered under the reclamation bond.
3. Please provide a general drill pad layout drawing that identifies the features discussed in Section
3, item 5.
Below is a general drill pad layout sketch and a photo example of a drill pad from a similar scope
project. Note the sketch shows the maximum drill pad dimensions, it is likely that the pads will
be able to remain smaller,as observed in the included example photo.
I
N ( 5 t ST N lE
CY
A..
_.. ------.r _.
v t
i
i
I
I )
2
