Exhibit H-1
The population of Mesa County continues to grow. The conversion of agricultural land
inevitably decreases the ability of that land to support wildlife. It also increases the
opportunity for conflict between wildlife and people. While no division of agricultural land
will benefit wildlife, identification of significant habitats and preservation of those features
will go a long way towards ensuring that wildlife remains as part of the landscape in the
future.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife appreciates the opportunity to review this project and provide
recommendations to avoid, minimize, and mitigate adverse impacts on wildlife.
