Graham
Roberts, Trapper Mine representative was present throughout the inspection. No hydrologic or air quality
issues were detected at the time of inspection. Skies exhibited high clouds. Temperatures hovered
between 40 and 55 degrees Fahrenheit.

PERMITTING ACTIONS in PROGRESS:
SL24

MAINTENANCE ITEMS IDENTIFIED
1. Flume at West Buzzard requires attention.
2. Seed C Pit with temporary sterile seed mix.
3. Construct contour ditches and check dams to concentrate spring runoff to Buzzard drainage.

OUTSTANDING MAINTENANCE
Permit markers for the PR11 expansion area.

MAINTENANCE COMPLETED
Rills identified during the SL24 inspection had been repaired.

INSPECTION
GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE:

Activities in the L, N, C, D, I and J Pits were observed and appear to be progressing as permitted.

At the time of inspection the Molly Braun drag line was idle and the Baby Doe was working, in the L Pit.
A Blast took place in L Pit but was not observed. L Pit overburden was being truck and loader excavated
and hauled from the pit at the time of inspection.

The Queen Ann was casting spoil at the I Pit. C pit has been mostly stripped with the exception of
approximately 70 acres. As C Pit may not be developed contour ditches will be placed to concentrate
runoff to the existing West Buzzard drainage. Dozer basins will be constructed to slow flow and collect
sediment over the winter and spring runoff. The stripped area will be seeded with a sterile temporary
seeding mixture.
