One primary
reason for the inspection was a surety release request from the permittee, Bowie Resources, LLC (BRL). This
request is hereby referred to as SL-09 in this report. Several other people participated in the SL-09 bond release
portion of the inspection on the morning of September 6th:
 Basil Bear, BRL
 Ryan Wilson, Wolverine Fuels (parent to BRL)
 Joel Renfro, Environmental Protection Specialist (EPS) with the Division
 Brock Bowles, EPS and vegetation expert with the Division
 Dan MacKinnon, U.S. Department of the Interior
 Marvin Pavlisick, Pavlisick Mining Company
 Lisa McPherson, Pavlisick Mining Company.

No mining or reclamation activities were being conducted at this site. Regarding these activities, BRL is focusing
on Bowie No. 2 in 2023.

The representatives for the landowner, Pavlisick Mining Company, indicated that they have no issues with the
reclamation that has been performed at the East Mine, which is the subject of SL-09. In particular, they expressed
no problem with the water pipe at the top (north end) of the reclaimed area or with the fallen fence above the steep
area above the former mine portal area.

The weather was warm and clear. The ground was dry.
