Some areas exhibit a midstory with <br /> understory with large cottonwood trees as the overstory. narrowleaf willow, however these areas contain an upland <br /> herbaceous understory which lack both hydric soils and <br /> hydrology. <br /> 4.3 UPLAND HABITAT <br /> The wetland delineation identified approximately 133.97 acres of upland habitat within the survey area <br /> consisting predominantly of ruderal grassland and shrubland with fringes of ruderal grasses, forbs and <br /> bare ground. Topography across the survey area is generally flat with a topographic high point of 4,735 <br /> feet at the northwestern extent of the survey area. The vegetation community characterized within the <br /> survey area has been disturbed by historic and current land use practices associated with agriculture. <br />
