Rifle Gravel Pit#1 July 2023 <br /> 6.2.2.3 Water Handling, Dewatering, and Permits <br /> Scott submitted a gravel pit well permit application which was received by the DWR-SEO on <br /> June 14, 2022. Review of the gravel pit well permit application is currently pending approval <br /> of the SWSP. A copy of the gravel pit well permit application is included Attachment G. <br /> Scott will continue to work on acquiring the necessary permits and approvals initiated during <br /> Phase 1 during Phase 2, as needed, and submit them to DRMS. <br /> 6.2.3 Mining Extraction (Phase 3 [P3]) <br /> Phase 3 includes the mining extraction (processing and stockpiling) operations for the 9.90 <br /> acres (of the 19.00 acres of Affected Lands). This section describes the mining methods, <br /> earthmoving, and size of the areas anticipated to be mined at the 30%, 60%, and 100% <br /> mining development of the 9.90 acres over three to five years. <br /> Size of Area Worked at 30% <br /> The estimated area to be mined (processed and stockpiled) at 30% is approximately 3.67 <br /> acres (depicted in Figure 9, Exhibit C4) and amounts to approximately 70,000 CY of <br /> mined (processed and stockpiled) material. <br /> Size of Area Worked at 60% <br /> The total estimated area to be mined (processed and stockpiled) at 60% is approximately <br /> 5.58 acres (depicted in Figure 10, Exhibit C5) and amounts to approximately 140,000 CY <br /> of mined (processed and stockpiled) material. <br /> • Cumulative area estimated at 60% = 5.58 acres <br /> o Estimated area mined and processed between 30% and 60% = 1.91 acres <br /> • Cumulative volume of material mined and processed at 60% = 140,000 CY <br /> o Estimated volume of material mined and processed between 30% and 60% = 70,000 <br /> CY <br /> Size of Area Worked at 100% <br /> The total estimated area to be mined (processed and stockpiled) at 100% is approximately <br /> 10.03 acres (depicted in Figure 11, Exhibit C6) and amounts to approximately 226,325 CY <br /> of mined (processed and stockpiled) material. <br /> • Cumulative area estimated at 100% = 10.03 acres <br /> o Estimated area mined and processed between 60% and 100% = 4.45 acres <br /> • Cumulative volume of material mined and processed at 100% = 226,325 CY <br /> o Estimated volume of material mined and processed between 60% and 100% _ <br /> 86,325 CY <br /> Equipment <br /> This phase will use conventional mining equipment for this phase, including but not limited <br /> to a long-reach excavator, a bulldozer, track-hoe, screening plant, wash plant, crusher, and <br /> a 35-ton haul truck. <br /> 29 <br />
