The
inspection was conducted, images analyzed and the report prepared by me, Robin Reilley of the DRMS.
Miranda Kawcak, mine representative, was present throughout the inspection and Amber Michels of the
DRMS accompanied us. No hydrologic or air quality issues were detected at the time of inspection. It
was a partly cloudy day and no breeze. Temperatures hovered around 70 degrees F. The slide
area above Pond 15 was observed. The slide occurred due to heavy snow in the winter of
2012/2013 with snowmelt saturating the slope above. The slope was reconstructed in 2015 and
comprises approximately 20 acres of reclamation for release.

PERMITTING ACTIONS in PROGRESS:
MT8

OUTSTANDING MAINTENANCE
Bentonite application under pond 16s and 17 flumes.

INSPECTION:
GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE:
Reclamation is complete and executed as permitted. Approximately 106.2 acres of Phase I released acres
remain for bond release. These acres comprise the main haul road, Pond 6 and area above and its
associated slide area above; Ponds 15 on the east side of the site and its slide area and Pond 16. Year
nine vegetation sampling of the above mentioned areas occurred in August 2022 and year 10 will occur in
2023. Reclamation appears stable with well established and diverse vegetation.

ROADS – Rule 4.03
Construction 4.03.1(3) I 4.03.2(3); Drainage 4.03.1(4) I 4.03.2(4); Surfacing and Maintenance
4.03.1(5) and (6) I 4.03.2(5) and (6); Reclamation 4.03.1(7) I 4.03.2(7)
o Roads were in adequate repair and offered access to the entire site.
