Slopes are plane to slightly
concave. Areas are irregular in shape and are 2 to 24 acres in size.
The vegetation is mainly shrubs, forbs sad grasses. Elevation ranges
from 6350 to 6700 feet. Also included are about
5 percent Busby Variant and about 5 percent soils which are similar
in all other respects to Rentsac deep Variant except that they are
coarser textured.
Permeability of this soil is moderate as is available water
capacity. Effective rooting depth is 60 inches. Runoff is medium i
and hazard of erosion by bath wind and water is slight.
This map unit is used for wildlife habitat and watershed.
The soils of this map unit provide a good to fair source of topsoil
to an average depth of 3 inches. Scattered sandstone outcrops occur
in this map unit. The infertile, clayey substratum
layer below this depth is unsuited for topsoiling purposes.

2-301
