""t.:: a; <br /> Photo 8—Looking north from edge of excavation area showing unreclaimed mounds <br /> The area was reclaimed in March of 2023 by first using a dozer to regrade the highwalls and the mounds, <br /> followed by backdragging a steel beam with a front end loader to smooth out the regraded area,then <br /> followed by the importation of 375 tons of topsoil, which was then spread evenly over the regraded <br /> area. The topsoil was purchased from a nearby supplier.Approximately 3-4 inches of soil was placed on <br /> the area. Broadcast seeding was then conducted using the prescribed mix. Backdragging then occurred <br /> to cover the seed with the soil already placed. <br /> The following pictures show various stages of the reclamation efforts. <br /> Page 11 of 17 <br />
