NOTICE OF FILING APPLICATION <br /> COLORADO MINED LAND RECLAMATION PERMIT AMENDMENT <br /> Notice to the Board of County Commissioners <br /> Clear Creek County <br /> The Climax Molybdenum Company, Henderson Operations (Henderson) intends to apply to the <br /> Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board (the "Board") for an Amendment to its current Mining <br /> and Reclamation Permit(M-1977-342)for its mining and milling operation located in Clear Creek <br /> and Grand Counties. The attached information is being provided to notify you of the location and <br /> nature of the proposed activities included in the Amendment. The entire Amendment application <br /> is on file with the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (DRMS) and with the <br /> local county clerk and recorder. <br /> This Amendment (AM-08) proposes to increase the Henderson Mill affected land boundary by <br /> 224 acres to allow for the installation of water quality management related infrastructure,including <br /> access roads for new monitoring wells. <br /> With the addition of the above affected land areas, Henderson anticipates that the total affected <br /> land area under Permit No. M-1977-342 will increase to 4,584.2 acres. The Amendment will not <br /> change the future permitted post-mining land use or the present mining or milling operations at <br /> Henderson. <br /> Pursuant to Section 34-32-116(7)0), C.R.S., the Board is required to confer with the local Board <br /> of County Commissioners before approving of the post-mining land use. Accordingly, the Board <br /> would appreciate your comments on the proposed operation.
