March 14, 2023 C-1981-008/New Horizon Mine CCW <br /> SIGNS AND MARKERS—Rule 4.02: <br /> Mine identifications signs were observed to be posted in multiple areas surrounding the mine site. The <br /> signs displayed the required information regarding the contact information for the Permittee and the Division. <br /> During the inspection several markers identifying the stream buffer zone were observed. The markers were placed <br /> in clear locations (Photo 9). <br /> Topsoil pile markers were intact and in good condition. The markers were placed on each individual topsoil <br /> stockpile. <br /> TOPSOIL—Rule 4.06 <br /> Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3; Redistribution 4.06.4: <br /> Several topsoil stockpiles at the mine site were inspected. Topsoil stockpiles I IA, I IB (Photo 10), 12 and <br /> 13 were inspected. All topsoil piles were stable with sufficient vegetative cover. Perimeter ditches for the piles <br /> were stable and in good condition.
