Both ponds were inspected from the highway for safety reasons. Each pond was snow covered and stable. Water <br /> level and discharge of the ponds could not be observed. <br /> GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE: <br /> Due to the weather conditions,part of the inspection was discussing the approved mining progression at the <br /> Colowyo Mine.As stated by the Mine representative,highwall mining operations have moved from the Little <br /> Collom Gulch area and are now within the South Taylor Pit along the western highwall of the pit. Once highwall <br /> mining is finished at the South Taylor Pit,it will again move back to the main Collom Pit area and then back to the <br /> Little Collom Gulch area. <br /> All dragline operations have been completed in the South Taylor Pit. The dragline is currently staged at the West <br /> Pit in preparation for it to be moved. Currently,the dragline is scheduled to be hauled to the Collom Pit this spring <br /> or summer. The dragline will be used to remove overburden at a portion of the Collom Pit and contemporaneously <br /> backfill the previously mined sections of the pit. <br /> SIGNS AND MARKERS—Rule 4.02: <br /> Mine identification sign along the Mine's security entrance was inspected. The sign contained all information for <br /> compliance. <br />
