Compliance With Mine Plan N - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> N -Other N - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> N -Processing Waste N -Topsoil <br /> CONIMENTS <br /> This was a partial inspection by the Coloroado Division of Reclamation,Mining and Safety(Division)of the <br /> Colowyo Mine conducted by Zach Trujillo of the Division on February 28,2023.Lee Sampson representing <br /> Colowyo Coal Company(Colowyo)accompained the inspection. The weather during the inspection was heavy <br /> snow and high winds which created"white-out"conditions. Ground conditions were snow cover of 1+feet. <br /> Temperatures during the inspection were around 20 degrees fahrenheit. Due to adverse weather conditions, <br /> Colowyo went under"Pit Advisery"during the inspection which had all pits closed due to snow accumlation and <br /> lack of visibility. The South Taylor,East and Collom Pit were not inspected as the areas were not accessible. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05 <br /> Drainage Control 4.05.1,4.05.2,4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5,4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7,4.05.10; <br /> Diversions 4.05.4;Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br /> Drainage —Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8;Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> Due to high winds and heavy snowfall,the inspection areas were limited to just the lower elevation areas of the <br /> Gossard Loadout. Gossard and Rail Loop Ponds were inspected. These ponds are total containment ponds and do <br /> not discharge.Both ponds held minimal water and were visibly stable. Due to snow depths and lack of visibility, <br /> the Stoker Siding Pond could not be inspected. <br /> Gossard Pond. <br /> The Streeter and Prospect Ponds were inspected. These ponds are located along the State Highway 13 corridor. <br />
