Box 187 <br /> Craig, Colorado 81626 <br /> 28 February 2023 <br /> Re: Trapper Mine Inc.; Permit C1981010 <br /> DRMS Adequacy Review No 2 Permit Revision PRII <br /> Dear Mr. Roberts: <br /> The Division has completed its preliminary adequacy review of Trapper Mine's permit revision <br /> PR11 received by the Division on 14 October 2022. The application proposes an increase of <br /> 137.10 acres. DRMS found the application complete on 24 October 2022. On 9 November <br /> DRMS requested a Section 7 consultation for the PR11 permit renewal from the USFWS. On 7 <br /> December DRMS received an email from USFWS requesting additional information regarding <br /> jurisdictional questions. DRMS responded to USFWS on 7 December. The permittee published <br /> the permitting action for 4 consecutive weeks beginning on 2 November and ending on 23 <br /> November 2022. A single adequacy question was posed to Trapper Mine Inc. on 26 October 2022 <br /> regarding affected area acreage. At this point, Trapper Mine Inc.'s. response to this adequacy <br /> question is pending and the adequacy question is repeated below for Rule 2.05.3. DRMS received <br /> TMI's response to adequacy on Friday 20 January 2023. Review of the responses provided by <br /> Trapper Mine follow. Additional groundwater adequacy questions are posed beginning with <br /> adequacy question 39. <br /> DRMS's assessment comprises the review of maps and revised pages, the submitted <br /> addendum to Appendix A, Appendix B, and the provision of a DRMS cost estimate.
