Colorado Inactive Mine Reclamation Program CLOSEOUT REPORT ACTIVE MINE BOND FORFEITURE PROJECTS Permit Information Permit Number: Operator Name: Mine Name: P-2007-047 CHM Ventures, LLC Summit Point Exploration Type of Mine— NOI Commodity Mined— Uranium PRE-RECLAMATION SITE CONDITIONS The Summit Point Exploration site is located 9.5 miles north of Egnar, on the west side of Summit Canyon in San Miguel County, Colorado on land administered by BLM. This was an NOI operation permitted for 3 acres of disturbance to assess the mineral potential via up to 6 drill hole exploration to depths of up to 2,500 feet. The required Financial Warranty held is $21,204.00. In May 2016, the Mined Land Reclamation Board revoked the NOI permit and ordered that the Financial Warranty be forfeited. The site requires further reclamation, including drill hole abandonment, re-grading sump pits, erosion control, weed control, and revegetation on three drill hole pads totaling about 1.5 acres. The funds available to accomplish this were from the Summit Point Exploration Bond. The Contractor first sprayed noxious weeds before beginning earthwork. The casings were capped with schedule 40 steel caps bolted with three 3/8 inch threaded bolts drilled into the casing and cut flush with the outside of the cap to provide a permanent cover for the drill holes. The earthen sumps were re-graded to match the surrounding topography and a series of berms were constructed to control water runoff along an existing access road near drill pad 6. Finally, the drill pads and disturbed areas were revegetated by spreading seed and spreading weed-free mulch and fertilizer to promote beneficial species growth. A total of approximately 1.5 acres were reclaimed. The total cost for this work was $20,134.80. The project was completed on 10/6/17. Remaining Reclamation Requirements and Estimated Cost: The reclamation for the NOI permit was completed with the bond monies; however, ongoing weed control may be required until vegetation can re-establish in the area.
