Colorado Division roject of Reclamation, <br /> Mining & S► fety <br /> MASCOT TUNNEL PROJECT <br /> Gilpin County, Colorado <br /> Permit No. P-1980-086 <br /> Project Location and Background <br /> The portal safeguarded during the 2009 construction season <br /> for the Mascot Tunnel Project was located in Gilpin ' -* � ► <br /> County, Colorado. The Mascot Tunnel site is located south <br /> of the Town of Black Hawk at mile marker 5.5 along State - r ` <br /> Highway 119. The site straddles both sides of North Clear <br /> Creek. Contractor's equipment mobilization was required <br /> to occur on the east side of the creek, and the features -, <br /> reclaimed were located on the west side of the creek. <br /> The purpose of this project was to reclaim a hard rock mine . ." <br /> located on private land in accordance with the approved ' 'n <br /> mining and reclamation plan. The Mascot Prospecting " � <br /> Notice of Intent (NOI) was revoked in 2004 and the Exterior of the Mascot Tunnel prior to reclamation during initial <br /> reconnaissance. <br /> financial warranty was forfeited in 2008.
