By the afternoon on August 24, the entire waste rock pile had been graded and an earthen berm was constructed along the
top perimeter for safety and to reduce erosion along the newly graded slopes. The following day, all disturbed areas were
fertilized with Biosol®(7-2-3)and seeded, the remaining debris was hauled to the landfill, and the salvageable steel was
consolidated on the southeast portion of the mine site. On the last day, August 26, two hundred and twenty-five bales of
wood straw mulch was delivered and applied to all disturbed slopes to achieve approximately 60% coverage. With the
specified project tasks completed, the contractor demobilized all equipment and personnel from the project site that evening.
Remaining Reclamation Requirements and Estimated Cost:
All goals listed in the reclamation plan were accomplished as specified. The site will be monitored annually for several years
to ensure the success of the revegetation and the project overall.
