Summary <br /> 1. Portal Closure-A steel grated shaft closure with access was installed in accordance with <br /> standard work specification# 11 of the Division of Minerals and Geology, General Bid <br /> Specifications 2004. <br /> The dimensions of the closure were 8' x9'. The dilapidated portal shed was dismantled and <br /> disposed of in an authorized waste disposal facility. <br /> Total Cost- $5,000 <br /> 2. Trash cleanup and building removal- Several buildings, two trailers and a wooden loadout <br /> were demolished and removed from the site. Trash, scrap metal and other debris was hauled <br /> away from the site. <br /> A total of 180 cubic yards of trash was hauled to the landfill. <br /> A total of 45 tons of scrap was hauled from the site. The value of the scrap was $2,064.38. <br /> Total Cost-$8,000 <br /> 3. Oil spills. 45 Cubic yards of material were removed from the site and disposed of at an <br /> authorized waste disposal facility. <br /> Total Cost-$5,000 <br /> McCollom Excavating completed the reclamation work outlined in P.O. order#06-49 on August <br /> 14, 2006 at a cost of$18,000. There is $1,203 remaining from the Durango Metals bond that <br /> can be applied to the reclamation tasks that will be completed by RLI. The following items <br /> still need to be completed by RLI: <br /> 1. Silt Fence and Erosion Control <br /> Provide and install 500 lineal feet of silt fence and 10 bales of straw to prevent <br /> erosion of the slopes and deposition of material in the adjacent stream. <br /> 2. Regrade the dump to a final slope of 3:1 <br /> Move approximately 3500 cubic yards of waste rock from the west end of the existing <br /> dump to the east end of the dump to achieve the approximate slope of 3:1. The <br /> existing bench near the portal will not be reclaimed. <br /> 3. Soil amendments <br /> Apply and incorporate soil amendments 6 inches deep per specifications of the permit <br /> P96-043. The disturbed area is approximately 1 acre. Soil amendments must include <br /> the following: <br /> a. 25 tons per acre of composted manure <br /> b. 1 ton per acre of dolomite limestone <br /> c. 300 lbs of 18-46-0 fertilizer <br />
