The MPO is <br /> dated November 28, 2022, and was received on November 30, 2022, by the South Park Ranger <br /> District, Pike — San Isabel National Forests & Cimarron and Comanche National Grasslands <br /> (PSICC). The Quist MPO has been previously assigned an identification number of 2810- <br /> 021210-MPO-2023-002. Please use this number for all future correspondence. <br /> The Quist MPO outlines your intent to conduct mining operations on the PSICC within the <br /> Lower Lake George watershed area in portions of Sections 10 and 11, T. 12 S., R. 71 W., 6th <br /> Principal Meridian on the Three (3) Point and Four (4) Point unpatented mining claims. The <br /> MPO described activities including: <br /> • Access will utilize a decommissioned non-system route (former FSR 752) and non- <br /> system two track route with approximate dimensions of 10ft x 5,152ft (51,520 sq. feet or <br /> 1.8 acres). Two gates will be installed to limit access from unauthorized users. <br /> • All road maintenance and reclamation will be the responsibility of the operator. <br /> • Two dig sites will be prospected/mined across the adjacent unpatented mining claims of <br /> Three Point and Four Point. Over the next 2 - 5 years, one open pit is proposed at each <br /> site. Recontouring of disturbance will be completed prior to moving to the next site. <br /> Operations at each proposed site will be conducted in no particular order. <br /> Each pit will go to a depth of approximately 12ft. Total estimated disturbance is 20,000ft <br /> (<0.5 acre) with maximum disturbance at any one time totaling 1 acre. Site specifics are <br /> as follows: <br /> o Site A — A rectangular area approximately 200ft x 100ft (20,000ft2 or 0.5 acres). <br /> This maximum area of disturbance includes room for tailings and topsoil storage. <br /> This site will be accessible from the non-system access road.
