Leo Compuzano accompanied the inspection
and represented the Operator. Normal activies were tkaing place at the mine during the inspection. at the King II
area,the stackers were active and trucks were bineg loaded at the time of the inspection. At the King I facility,
refuse material was actively being hauled,deposited and stockpiled on the Lower Refuse Pile. It was actively
snowing at the time of the inspection with approximately one inch of new accumulation on top of the previous
accumulation. Seven Photos accompany this report to illustrate the current site conditions.
HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05
Drainage Control 4.05.1,4.05.2,4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5,4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7,4.05.10;
Diversions 4.05.4;Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13;
Drainage —Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8;Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18:
King I Facility
Significant accumulation of snow is present at the King I Facility. Active snow removal operations were clearing
the access road to the Lower Refuse Pile to allow material to be transported there. All removed snow is being
placed in the East Sediment Pond to allow for collection of the snow melt. Photo One shows the piled snow in the
East Sediment Pond. Along the access road,flowing snowmelt due to truck traffic was observed,but not causing
and erosional concerns. All other surface water control features were snow covered,however appear to be able to
function as designed.
King II facility
Similar to the King I Facility active snow removal operations were clearing the way to allow operations to
continue. All removed snow is being placed at the North end of the main Sediment Pond to contain the melt when
it happens. All cleared roads were wet due to truck traffic but all observed water was being directed to surface
water control features. All of the surface water control features are snow covered,but appear to be free of
obstruction and able to function as designed. Examples of the surface water control features can be seen in Photos
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 5
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 2
Page 2 of 7
