Measurement and Payment
Measurement for payment for this ITEM will be measured to the nearest cubic yard of
topsoil imported and placed on site. Payment for this ITEM will be paid for at prices
established in ITEM 4.0 of the Bid Schedule per cubic yard of topsoil placed on the site.
Such payment shall be considered full compensation for all labor, materials, equipment
and all other items necessary and incidental to the placing of cover materials on the
repository, as directed and described in the specifications. Payment will be as this ITEM
is completed and approved by the PROJECT MANAGER.
ITEM 5.0 Revegetation
Following application of topsoil, the area will hydro seeded with a native seed mix. The
estimated total area to be hydro-seeded is two acres (2.0 ac.). Seed will be provided by
PROJECT MANAGER. CONTRACTOR will supply the labor and equipment necessary
for completion of this ITEM in accordance with Section 20.0, of the General Bid
Specifications 2009. Mulch is required. Fertilizer is NOT required.
Measurement and Payment
Measurement for this ITEM will be made at the unit prices established in ITEM 5.0 of
the Bid Schedule. Measurement for payment will be made to the nearest 0.1 acre. The
price bid for selective weed spray will cover all costs for completing the activities
required under this ITEM. Payment will be approved by the PROJECT MANAGER upon
completion of this ITEM. Such payment will be considered full compensation for all
labor, materials, equipment, and all other items necessary and incidental to the
completion of this bid item.
PROJECT OBSERVATION
The PROJECT MANAGER will be at the project site periodically to monitor construction
activities and ensure that each work item is completed and constructed to design
specifications. The PROJECT MANAGER will be available during regular business hours
(8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.) on weekdays. Inspections will not be scheduled on weekend days
or holidays without prior approval of the PROJECT MANAGER. It is the CONTRACTOR'S
responsibility to schedule inspections with the PROJECT MANAGER so as not to delay the
work. The following items must be observed and approved by the PROJECT MANAGER
before proceeding with additional work:
1. Topsoil application prior to seeding.
The attached Bid Schedule form must be submitted. Award will be made to the apparent
low bidder if the low quote is within the project budget estimate, and if the CONTRACTOR'S
equipment and proposed schedule are deemed sufficient by the Division to accomplish the
project within the specified time of completion.
