Access roads to ponds were impassable due to snow conditions. <br /> The following pond systems were viewed from the haul road above: <br /> a) No Name 42 <br /> b) Middle Flume43 <br /> c) Trapper Lake <br /> TOPSOIL—RULE 4.06 <br /> Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3; Redistribution 4.06.4 <br /> o No instability or rilling were noted on the observed topsoil piles. Most piles were snow covered. <br /> Piles appeared to be marked appropriately. <br /> USE of EXPLOSIVES—Rule 4.08 <br /> General Requirements 4.08.1;Pre blasting survey 4.08.2;Public Notice of Blasting Schedule 4.08.3; <br /> Surface Blasting Requirements 4.08.4; Records of Blasting for Surface Coal Mining 4.08.5; <br /> Seismographic Measurements 4.08.6d stripping <br /> o A blast was not observed. Two blasts were set up at the east end of the I Pit. <br /> BACKFILL and GRADING RULE 4.14 <br /> o Reclamation consists of benched overburden hauls awaiting grading and is an ongoing activity at <br /> Trapper Mine. <br /> o Regrading activities were occurring at the southeast portion of L pit. <br /> REVEGETATION-Rule 4.15 <br /> General Requirements 4.15.1; Use ofSpecies 4.15.2, Grazing 4.15.5 <br /> o Reclamation has been halted for the winter months and will resume in the spring once topsoil is <br /> dry enough to be placed and seeded. <br /> FISH and WILDLIFE—R ULE 4.18 <br /> Abundant wildlife is often observed throughout Trapper mine.
