Compliance With Mine Plan N - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> N -Other N - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> R -Processing Waste R -Topsoil <br /> COMMENTS <br /> This report documents the observations made by the Division during a complete inspection of the <br /> McClane Canyon Mine conducted on December 15, 2022. The inspection was conducted by <br /> Clayton Wein of the Division. The operator, ARC McClane Canyon (AMC)was represented by <br /> Chuck Silengo and Joe Brinton during the inspection. The weather was overcast and snowing <br /> with a temperature of 26 degrees F. The ground conditions were completely covered in snow. <br /> AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS—Rule 5.02.4(1): <br /> The records for the McClane Canyon Mine have moved location with AMC's transfer to a new consultant. <br /> The Records for the mine are now located at the Mesa County Recorder's office in Grand Junction, CO. During <br /> the Division's inspection of the records, several Items were missing. The Items that need to be updated or <br /> added to the records are as follows: <br /> - There were no records of the site's Annual Reclamation Reports. <br /> - There were no records of the site's Annual Hydrology Reports <br /> - The Insurance Certificate in the records was out of date. <br /> - There was not any records of inspection reports from the Division and the Office of Surface Mining <br /> (OSMRE) within the records. (Minimum past 3 years needed) <br /> - There were no records of completed revisions to the permit with the records. <br /> - The mine permit with exhibits,maps,tables and text was not found with the records. <br /> Please add all of the above items to the records as soon as possible to avoid enforcement action. Once <br /> completed please notify the Division that the above mentioned documents have been added to the records. <br /> FISH and WILDLIFE—Rule 4.18: <br /> During the inspection several sets of tracks from deer were observed around the sediment pond and the <br /> topsoil pile. <br /> Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 0 <br /> Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 2 <br /> Page 2 of 8 <br />
