Jordan McCourt accompanied the inspection
and represented the Operator. Normal activies were tkaing place at the mine during the inspection. at the King II
area, the stackers were active and trucks were bineg loaded at the time of the inspection. Both internal sediment ponds were observed to be
in good condition. The West Pond was snow covered and is assumed to contain frozen water. The main
embankment and pond slopes are densely vegetated and appeared stable at the time of the inspection. The West
Sediment Pond can be seen in Photo One. The East pond was also snow covered but assumed to contain frozen
water. The slopes are densely vegetated and appeared stable at the time of the inspection. The East Pond can be
seen in Photo Two.
King II Area
Throughout the King II facility the internal drainage structures leading to the main sediment pond were observed.
All culverts and ditches were free from obstruction and able to function as designed. All internal drainages lead to
the main sediment pond shown in Photo Three. The pond contained standing, frozen water and no evidence of
discharge was noted. The pond slopes and floor are densely vegetated and in good condition.
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 4
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 2
Page 2 of 7
