6.4.8 EXHIBIT H —Wildlife Information
(1) In a site visit on with Ms. Natalie Renneker, Montrose District Wildlife Manager for
the Colorado Parks and Wildlife on April 27 ,2002, the Operator's consulting engineer,
Dan Quigley of Buckhorn Engineering, discussed the mining plan and potential impacts
to area wildlife. The following information about impacts to area wildlife was developed
at that meeting.
(a) As CPW's response letter, attached herein, indicates, the impact from the
proposed mining operations will have minimal impact on wildlife that
currently use the property.
(b) No known threatened or endangered species are found in the project area.
(c) CPW recommended removal of the existing woven-wire boundary fence in
favor of more wildlife friendly three-strand barbless fencing if practical.
Thompson Pit
Exhibit H
