(i) The source geologic units to be mined for sand and gravel are mapped <br /> by the Colorado Geologic Survey as Qau and Qau3 which are Pleistocene <br /> age alluvial deposits form the Uncompahgre River. <br /> REFERENCE: Geologic Map of the Olathe Quadrangle, Montrose County, <br /> Colorado, 2007, Colorado Geological Survey, Open File Report OF-07-01 <br /> (ii) The soil units to be mined are identified by the NRCS as the following: <br /> Gyprockmesa-Gypimack comoplex (Map Unit 721) which forms 5.5% of the <br /> site <br /> Persayo-Fruita complex (Map unit 740), 9.1% of the site <br /> Mesa gravelly loam (Map Unit 764), 12.0% of the mine site <br /> Persayo loam (Map Unit 800), 28.6% of the site <br /> Persayo-Badland complex (Map Unit 801), 28.6% of the site <br /> Mesa-Waterdog complex (Map Unit 807), 2.0% of the site <br /> Persayo-Briny, rarely flooded complex (Map Unit 809), 6.0% of the site <br /> (f) The primary commodities to be mined are sand and gravel. <br /> (g) No incidental products to be mined or extracted are anticipated at this time. <br /> Thompson Pit <br /> Exhibit D <br />
