Compliance With Mine Plan NA - Support Facilities Not On-site NA - Other NA - Special Categories Of Mining NA -Processing Waste R—Topsoil COMMENTS This was a partial inspection of the Trapper Mine; permit C 1981010, operated by Trapper Mining Inc. The inspection was conducted and the report and photos prepared by me, Robin Reilley of the DRMS. Graham Roberts,Trapper Mine representative was present throughout the inspection. Skies were clear. Temperatures ranged between 32 and 50 degrees Fahrenheit. The air was calm, and dry. PERMITTING ACTIONS in PROGRESS: o Permit Renewal 8 RN8 o TR132 o Permit Revision 11 (PR11) MAINTENANCE ITEMS: OUTSTANDING MAINTENANCE: 1. Reconstructed drainage in parcels LAB18 and 19 require repairs scheduled for Spring 2023. INSPECTION GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE: Activities in the L,N and I and J Pits were observed and appear to be progressing as permitted. The highwall miner was operating in I Pit East and coal was being transported out of the pit. I Pit East held water along the north higwall,therefore,high wall mining was not occurring at the west end of the pit. Backfilling is occurring at the east end of the Pit. Mining in I Pit Middle is complete and backfilling has begun. Digging of J Pit has begun and with overburden being hauled to I Pit Middle. D Pit regrading is nearly completed with backfilling and grading ongoing at the north end of the pit. The constructed drainage is in place and requires additional leveling in places where water will pool and cause nickpoints in a runoff situation. At the time of inspection N Pit was idle as contractors are in their 10 day off cycle. Backfilling the west high wall is ongoing as is backfilling the openings on the south highwall so that upper levels of coal can be extracted. The Queen Ann dragline,currently stationed in N Pit, is scheduled to walk(TR132),to west end of mine. The Molly Brown was casting spoil at the south end of the L Pit. Blasts were being set up. SIGNS and MARKERS Rule 4.02 o Topsoil stockpiles observed were clearly marked with identifying signs.
