October 19,2022 C-1982-056/Foidel Creek Mine TNL <br /> Stream buffer zone @ NA NA Buffer marked by Buffer zone was being <br /> train load-out barrels and sign. maintained at Oct 2022 <br /> inspection. Buffer zone <br /> needs to continue to be <br /> protected from winter <br /> plowing, mag chloride, and <br /> coal overflow from train. <br /> GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE: <br /> The waste pile appeared stable and the face free of weeds and well vegetated.There was no standing water <br /> observed on the waste pile. The toe of the pile and underdrains appear stable,with no excess water, and culverts <br /> were functional.Waste pile inspection reports have been received by the Division as required.Third lift is <br /> finished,per operator face will be top soiled and seeded in the spring. <br /> Topsoil pile at the BOB pile appears stable,well vegetated and undisturbed. <br /> Please clear out the excess material near the wash plant,tank, and pond D. It appears these are from haul <br /> truck overflow and/or pond clean out.Please ensure this area has proper drainage to the sediment pond <br /> (photos below). <br /> Please move/remove pile (rock/rock dust?) at the entrance to 6MN pump house pad which it is encroaching <br /> on disturbance boundary <br /> Ongoing Maintenance Items: <br /> • Protect topsoil piles from cattle <br /> • Reseed topsoil piles,pad slopes, and pipeline corridors,at the newer pads(15 left— 18 left) <br /> • Reestablish portal ditch,clear-out cattails and any non-coal waste <br /> • Reestablish ditch F behind the warehouse pad <br /> • Topsoil pile at the 7E cement drop pad will need to be used to reclaim the site or shaped and seeded. <br /> • Spray weeds and Reseed the waste pile topsoil pile <br /> • Protect topsoil piles along the 6MN road during maintenance and snow plowing activities <br /> • Clear vegetation from around the trash rack at pond E and the discharge location <br /> • Topsoil sign is missing at fish creek borehole access road <br /> ROADS—Rule 4.03 <br /> Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3),Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4), Surfacing and Maintenance4.03.1(5)and <br /> (6)/4.03.2(5) and(6),Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br /> Roads were in good condition.
