A subsequent <br /> letter received by the Division on March 14, 2000, provided official notice that the cessation of <br /> operations was permanent, pursuant to Rule 4.30. Current official status of the operation is <br /> "Active", due to on-going reclamation activity. There are no plans for future coal extraction at the <br /> operation. <br /> The original permit has been granted renewal for successive five year permit terms seven times, <br /> the most recent renewal decision was finalized February 27, 2018, for a permit term extending <br /> through January 3, 2023. One technical revision and two minor revisions were submitted and <br /> processed since Midterm Permit Review No. 8 (MT-8) was issued. All previous stipulations and <br /> conditions have been terminated or complied with and there are no new stipulations added with <br /> Permit Renewal No. 7 (RN-7). <br /> Revisions to the Permit <br /> The following revisions have been submitted since the last midterm review of the (site name) <br /> permit application package. <br /> Minor Revisions: <br /> Minor Revision 87 was received on August 13, 2020, deemed complete on August 18, 2020 and <br /> approved on August 26, 2020. With MR-87 Snowcap Coal Company, Inc. revised the permit <br /> with updated text,tables, and appendices in accordance with Rule 2.03. The proposed revised <br /> pages contain information addressing adequacy questions from the Division's Midterm No. 8 <br /> (MT-8)review. <br /> Minor Revision 88 (MR-88) was received on September 27, 2022, deemed complete on October <br /> 5, 2022 and approved on October 10, 2022. The revision updated the permit with text regarding <br /> an alternate water supply and added a new appendix. <br /> Technical Revisions: <br /> Technical Revision 71(TR-71) was submitted on March 30, 2022, deemed complete on April 6, <br /> 2022 and approved on May 26, 2022. The revision decreased the mine permit boundary from <br /> 548.0 acres to 317.0 acres, and revised the associated tables and exhibits throughout the permit to <br /> reflect the boundary change. <br /> Status of Stipulations <br /> The stipulation history for the (site name)was reviewed with this renewal application. The <br /> review included an investigation of any stipulations imposed, and any responses to existing <br /> stipulations received since the last midterm review. Any stipulations associated with this permit <br /> and issued over the life of this operation which are not discussed in this midterm review have <br /> been complied with or terminated. <br /> 6 <br />
