Further, these <br />activities will not impact the route or height of the C&W <br />railroad grade, will not diminish the structural or aesthetic <br />integrity of the resource, and will not remove, replace, or <br />otherwise significantly alter any other qualifying <br />characteristics of the railroad’s NRHP eligibility. <br /> 5LA.14427 <br />Structure: C&W Railroad <br />Concrete Slab Bridge at MP <br />17.24 <br /> <br />Not Individually Eligible <br />Contributing to C&W <br />Restoration and Preservation; the proposed scope of <br />work to be conducted on 5LA.14427 is limited to the <br />removal of ballast from the existing deck, the cleaning of <br />deck drains and bearings, and the application of concrete <br />sealer. Project activities will not remove, replace, or <br />otherwise alter any distinctive or qualifying historic <br />features or characteristics of the NRHP-eligible C&W <br />Railroad, nor will project activities alter the course of the <br />railroad or the height of the railroad grade. Following <br />Project completion, the site will be restored to its original <br />form and intended purpose. <br /> 5LA.14428 <br />Structure: C&W Railroad <br />Culvert at MP 13.82 <br /> <br />Not Individually Eligible <br />Non-Contributing to C&W <br />None; because the culvert at MP 13.82 is a minor-built <br />element of the C&W Railroad, it is not considered a <br />contributing feature of the C&W Railroad and does not <br />require protection. The culvert at MP 13.82 will be <br />replaced with a smooth steel pipe culvert protected by <br />riprap. The Project will not alter the C&W railroad grade’s <br />route, height, or any other qualifying characteristics of the <br />railroad’s NRHP eligibility. <br /> 5LA.14429 <br />Structure: C&W Railroad <br />Concrete Slab Bridge at MP <br />18.04 over the Purgatoire <br />River <br /> <br />Not Individually Eligible <br />Contributing to C&W <br />Restoration and Preservation; the proposed scope of <br />work to be conducted on 5LA.14429 is limited to the <br />removal of ballast from the existing deck, the cleaning of <br />deck drains and bearings, and the application of concrete <br />sealer.
