13 September 2022 C-1981-010/Trapper Mine RAR <br /> n) Industrial waste pond was full,ringed with cattails and does not discharge. <br /> o) Impoundment H was holding a small amount of water. The pond bottom was growing a <br /> robust stand of cattails. <br /> p) East Middle Flume#1 was holding clear water and not discharging at time of inspection. <br /> q) East Flume Pond#Iwas holding clear water and not discharging at time of inspection. <br /> r) Middle Flume Pond 43 was holding water and not discharging. <br /> s) Check dams and sumps appeared to be functioning adequately. <br /> TOPSOIL—RULE 4.06 <br /> Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3; Redistribution 4.06.4 <br /> o No instability or rilling were noted on the observed topsoil piles. Piles appeared to be marked <br /> appropriately and adequately vegetated. <br /> BACKFILL and GRADING RULE 4.14 <br /> Reclamation consists of benched overburden hauls awaiting grading. <br /> o Some of the L Pit benches had a robust crop of vegetation. Backfilling and grading could be <br /> occurring in some L Pit locations. <br /> o Backfilling and grading of D Pit was occurring at the time of inspection. <br /> REVEGETATION-Rule 4.15 <br /> General Requirements 4.15.1; Use of Species 4.15.2, Grazing 4.15.5 <br /> o Reclamation appeared to be progressing adequately. <br /> o Revegetation comprises a diverse mix of annuals,perennials,warm season grasses and shrubs. <br /> o Grasses were golden, shrub and tree foliage was still green. <br /> FISH and WILDLIFE—R ULE 4.18 <br /> Abundant wildlife is often observed throughout Trapper mine. Wildlife included red and white tailed <br /> hawks and waterfowl.
