Current highwall mining activities is to the west within the <br /> drainage. <br /> RECLAMATION SUCCESS-Rule 4.15,Rule 3: <br /> West Pit reclamation was observed.Vegetation along the newer West Pit reclamation parcels visually is well <br /> established with good cover. <br /> SIGNS AND MARKERS—Rule 4.02: <br /> Mine identification signs were observed at the mine entrance as well as along the Highway 13 corridor.All <br /> information for compliance was observed with no issues. <br /> TOPSOIL—Rule 4.06 <br /> Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3; Redistribution 4.06.4: <br /> Topsoil placement was observed in the West Pit reclamation. Previously graded areas along the western side of <br /> the West Pit highwall reclamation was being stockpiled and placed along the slopes of the reclaim. <br /> Topsoil stripping was occurring along the ridge line to the west above the Collom Gulch.A dozer was staging <br /> topsoil from the top of the ridge to an access road below.No topsoil hauling was observed.Topsoil from this area <br /> is being stored at Pile 26A located north of the Collom Spoil Pile.The new topsoil placement has been stacked but <br /> not yet shaped along the pile. The topsoil is surrounded by a berm ensuring topsoil stays within the approved <br /> footprint. <br />
