Mr. Graham Roberts <br /> Page 4 of 5 <br /> August 2022 <br /> Rule 2.05.4 Reclamation Plan <br /> Sections 3.0 of the permit addresses the reclamation plan and section 3.1.5 comprises the reclamation plan <br /> in a broad sense. Section 3.3.2 discusses reclamation of development drill holes. Map series M12 shows <br /> planned post mining topography. Section 3.6 titled Revegetation Plan,provides discussion on the soil and <br /> vegetation aspects of reclamation. Erosion control relating to reclamation is treated in sections 3.6.1.2 <br /> and 3.6.3.6. Maps M14 and M14a comprise pre and post mining drainage profiles. <br /> These sections adequately address this rule. <br /> Rule 2.05.6(3) Protection of'Hydrolozic Balance <br /> Permit section 4 entitled Protection of Environmental and Public Resources discusses Watershed <br /> Management in subsection 4.2.4 and minimizing ground water contamination. This topic is also <br /> discussed in sections 2.5, 3.6, 3.6.3.6,4.3.4.6,and 4.8. <br /> This section of the rules is adequately addressed. <br /> Rule 2.06.4 Steep Slope Mining <br /> This rule does not apply at this time. <br /> Rule 2.06.5 Variances from Approximate Original Contour(AOC), re reclamation of'Steep Slope Mining. <br /> Variances to AOC in specific areas of L Pit were granted through the Permit Revision PR9 process in <br /> 2020. The variances comprised crossection drawings along 406000, 404000 and 402000 Northings with <br /> respect to the 1444000 and 1434000 Eastings. <br /> Rule 2.06.9 Auguring <br /> This rule does not apply at this time. <br /> Rule 3.02.2 Performance Bond <br /> DRMS understands that no additional disturbance is anticipated with the renewal. A reclamation cost <br /> estimate is being finalized and will be forwarded o Trapper Mine Inc as soon as possible. DRMS has the <br /> following questions concerning costs for reclamation: <br /> As reclamation has not been completed in D Pit and backfilling and grading is currently being undertaken <br /> there DRMS will include costs for back filling and grading as well as topsoil and seeding D Pit to the <br /> RN8 cost estimate. <br /> 7. For PR9 Task 133 was included as costs provided by the operator. DRMS has the operator <br /> information for his task from PR9. Please update the costs for his task and supply DRMS with <br /> costs to include in the RN8 cost estimate. <br /> 8. DRMS has operator supplied costs for Task 127 in PR9 from Trapper Appendix A13.6 for sealing <br /> Monitoring wells. Please provide an updated cost estimate for these tasks for inclusion in the <br /> RN8 cost estimate. <br /> The decision date for the permit renewal is 30 October 2022. Please respond to these preliminary <br /> adequacy questions by 16 September 2022 to assure adequate time for any additional adequacy before a <br /> findings is made and a decision is proposed. <br />
