July 19,2022 C-1981-035/King Coal Mine LJW <br /> East and West CWD's have undergone recent cleanout efforts, removing weeds and other vegetative debris. <br /> Examples of the ditches can be seen in Photos Six and Seven. The ditches are cleared of all obstructions to allow <br /> flows to proceed unobstructed. The large Sediment Pond was observed to have a small amount of standing water <br /> flowing from the main operations area. The pond was not discharging at the time of the inspection and can be <br /> seen in Photo Eight. The downgradient ditches from the Sediment Pond have also undergone extensive cleanup <br /> operations removing the vegetation and vegetative debris. The ditches are unobstructed but do not show signs of <br /> recent flows. <br /> The fuel and hazardous materials storage area located at the King II facility was observed and in good condition. <br /> All items stored in the area contained appropriate secondary containment and is neat and orderly. No evidence of <br /> spills or loss of containment was noted.
