The upper CWD was observed to be free from obstruction and
able to function as designed. No evidence of recent flows were observed. The reach that conveys water from the
upper portion to the lower portion was in good condition and no evidence of recent flows or erosion was noted.
Examples of the upper reaches can be seen in Photos One and Two. Both the lower reaches of the East and all of
the West CWD were clear and free from obstructions to convey water around the affected areas. An example of
the West CWD can be seen in Photo Three. The ditches appear to be functioning as designed and no evidence of
erosion or cutting was noted in either ditch. The internal drainage of the lower refuse pile appears to be
functioning as designed, delivering water downgradient to the appropriate sediment ponds. The East Sediment
Pond was observed with no standing water or evidence of recent flows. The pond level appears to be below the
maximum design level and was not discharging. The pond can be seen in Photo Four, showing the banks are well
vegetated and stable. Similarly, the West Sediment Pond contained no standing water or evidence of recent flows.
The West pond has undergone continuous cleanout efforts as conditions allow which has progressed. Evidence of
the cleanout progress can be seen in Photo Five.
King II Facility: During this inspection the Sediment Pond and the ditches downgradient of the pond.
