Compliance With Mine Plan N - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> N -Other N - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> N -Processing Waste N -Topsoil <br /> COMMENTS <br /> This was a partial inspection conducted by Lucas West of the Colorado Division of Reclamation,Mining and <br /> Safety as part of the normal monitoring program for permitted sites. Mindy Sickels of Elk Ridge Mining and <br /> Reclamation accompanied the inspection and represented the Operator. The site is in Final Reclamation and was <br /> not active the day of the inspection. the weather was clear and dry, Six photos accompanty this report to illustrate <br /> the observed site conditions <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05 <br /> Drainage Control 4.05.1,4.05.2,4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5,4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7,4.05.10; <br /> Diversions 4.05.4;Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br /> Drainage —Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8;Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> This partial inspection focused on drainage and water retainage basins and monitoring or minor <br /> erosional features between the irrigated alfalfa field and Pond 001. Pond 001 was observed to have a small <br /> volume of standing water as evidenced by increased vegetative cover near the outlet of the culvert. As was the <br /> case during the Division's May 2022 inspection,the flow reporting to Pond 001 was observed to be irrigation tail <br /> water flowing from the alfalfa field adjacent to the facilities area. The pond was in good condition,the banks <br /> appeared stable at the time of the inspection and the entire pond is well vegetated. It is noted that due to the <br /> increased water flowing into the pond,coupled with recent precipitation events the vegetative cover is <br /> significantly more dense than previous inspections. The pond can be seen in Photo One. The inlet structure to the <br /> pond was functioning as designed in conveying the water from the ditch into the pond and flowing without <br /> obstruction. Flows can be seen entering the structure in Photo Two. The source of the water was observed to <br /> originating from the irrigated alfalfa field,flowing through the silt fence structure adjacent to the road,flowing <br /> across the road and reporting to the ditch. The silt fence structure is in good condition and allowing flow to pass <br /> through without excessive sedimentation as seen in Photo Three. The small erosional features observed <br /> previously, seen in Photo Four,do not appear to be deepening,nor were any new erosional features observed. <br /> Similarly the larger erosional features were noted along the slope length from the road to the receiving ditch have <br /> not increased in size and are still only a few inches deep in some places. This is not being listed as a maintenance <br /> item at this time,given the irrigation seasons just beginning,the Operator is encouraged to monitor the area as <br /> repairs and mitigation efforts may be required in the future. <br /> Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 1 <br /> Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 0 <br /> Page 2 of 6 <br />
