Please see the Exhibit E Reclamation Plan and Exhibit L Reclamation Costs for details regarding volumes,
distances, and equipment involved with reclamation earthwork, and the revegetation plan,of each of
the areas to reclaim.
Conclusion of Mining
At the conclusion of the operations, all areas and features of the site will be fully reclaimed. This means
the quarry will have stable, benched highwalls;slopes will be topsoiled and revegetated (excluding in-
quarry surfaces with exposed obsidian); earthen stormwater controls will remain as permanent
structures; debris and contaminants will be removed and disposed of properly; roadways will be
reclaimed by ripping followed by topsoiling and seeding; any overburden remaining after backfilling the
pit floor up to the needed elevation will be smoothed, topsoiled and seeded;all stockpiled topsoil will
be spread and seeded; all product stockpiles will be removed;all equipment and supplies will be
removed;the benches will be topsoiled and seeded;the pit floor and operations pad area will be ripped,
topsoiled and seeded. See Exhibit E for reclamation plan details.
Mining Stage Timeframes
Year 1 Strip topsoil from all areas of activity, windrow or place into stockpiles, and seed it.
Strip overburden from area above pit expansion, place in stockpiles or use to construct
SWMP structures, pad areas, roadways as needed.
Concurrent reclamation where possible: seed disturbed areas that will not be
redisturbed.
Year 2-20 Active mining, including processing, stockpiling, and export of material. Pit highwalls
and benches will be mined, pit floor will be backfilled at proper times of mining stages.
Year 21-25 Reclamation. Removal of stockpiled product, removal of equipment, cleanup of site, pit
backfill, replacement of overburden, pad and roadway grading/ripping, replacement of
topsoil, revegetation seeding.
Noxious Weed Control Plan, see following pages.
Blasting Plan, see following pages.
