South Hinsdale Response to Objections
12 July 2022
2. RESPONSE TO DRMS PUBLIC COMMENTS
Timely comments and objections
This section responds to the objections and comments received by DRMS on the project
as of the 30th of May, or end of the comment period. When possible, responses to two or
more objections are done together in section 5.0, to avoid repetition. General situation
information included in the objections are not quoted, as they are not germane to the issue
and response. To reduce time and the length of this response, comments are edited and
abbreviated/paraphrased, rather than quoted verbatim.
It is noted that there are several instances where one person, or a family, have made
multiple and sometimes repetitive objections. The order of the objections and responses
are the same order as the correspondence from DRMS of 02 June 2022, of 65 pages.
In some cases, the exact nature of the objection was difficult to fully understand, and we
ask the indulgence and assistance of the DRMS reviewer. In addition, many comments
were very broad and not amenable to either qualifying or quantifying. We are also unsure
which issues may be jurisdictional, and so have attempted to err on the side of caution
and provide information for Hinsdale County for items that are not DRMS-jurisdictional but
may be within the County's jurisdiction. Therefore, this section DOES include comments
that are not within the purview of DRMS. An " (asterisk) indicates the person/group also
commented to Hinsdale County as discussed in Section 3, 4 persons did so.
Responses are shown in italics or (if embedded in the list of the original objection) in
brackets like "[]" Usually one of the ten "general responses" (next section)will have more
detailed responses, identified for each objector and item below. However, some
responses, both for unique individual objections and in some cases those stated by
multiple persons, are provided below to specific objectors and their specific issue.
There are a total of sixteen timely objections, as provided to the applicant by DRMS. Their
issues range from a single concern to as many as twenty-four separate items (some of
which may duplicate or overlap earlier ones by that objector.
Timely Obiections Received:
2.1 Scott Cundy
received May 24, 2022—
"The area is a major recreational area for locals and for visitors.
