The existing land use for this site is native pasture grass.The proposed post-mining use is native pasture <br /> grass.The properties to the west and south are native pasture grass.The properties to the north and <br /> east are large acre industrial. <br /> This mining operation and reclamation will abide by the Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety <br /> Code of Colorado Regulations Rule 3.1. Grading will be done to ensure adequate compaction and <br /> stability. Erosion control will be done throughout the mining operation. No acid or toxic materials are to <br /> be used in this mining process. Side slope shall be 4:1 maximum. No pollutants are anticipated to be <br /> released from this site. No ground water is anticipated for this site. No wildlife will be affected at this <br /> site. Any buildings will be temporary and removed for reclamation. Signs will be placed at the entrance <br /> of the site of the name of the operator and permit numbers. Spills will be reported and cleanup up <br /> immediately, if a spill happens. <br /> 6.4.6 EXHIBIT F—Reclamation Plan Map <br /> (a) Please see the attached Exhibit F for a map of the mining area showing contours at 10-foot intervals. <br /> (b) The areas not being mined will stay as native grasses.The stockpiled topsoil will have a silt fence <br /> around its perimeter.The topsoil will be placed on the final grade and seeded. <br /> We have spoken with Tory Florain, US Forest Service in Ault CO—1-970-443-1993 <br /> troy.florain@state.co.us, about final grade and grass species. <br /> 6.4.7 EXHIBIT G—Water information <br /> This mining operation is not expected to directly affect groundwater systems. We have dug holes in the <br /> area to 25 feet depth and not encountered groundwater. If groundwater is found in this area. We will <br /> stop excavation in that area and cover that area to at least one foot above ground water. <br /> No water is expected to be used in the mining of this area. Intermediate storm water will be confined to <br /> an area at the southeast corner of the site and allowed to percolate into the soil. <br /> 6.4.8 EXHIBIT H—Wildlife information <br /> (1) We have contacted the local wildlife conservation officer—Troy Florian 970-443-1993. <br /> (a) No significant wildlife resources at this site. <br /> (b) This site is located within the Town limits of the Town of Nunn.This site is not a migration route. <br /> (c) No threatened or endangered species are found on this site. <br /> (d) No effect on wildlife is anticipated for the mining of this area. <br /> 6.4.9 EXHIBIT 1—Soils Information <br /> (1) The topsoil on this site is`Dacono Clay Loam'.According to USGS,this soil type in this area is only <br /> good for farming if irrigated.
