EXHIBIT D: The Revised Mining Plan
(Technical Revision #3 - June 2022)
Important Note: The Permit for the Fountain Pit is
THE ENTIRE APPROVED PLAN.
CONDENSATION OF THE PLAN
The following presents the highpoints of each of the portions of the Revised Mining Plan. This is
intended to be used as a quick reference to the main points under each category and heading of the
rest of this plan. These condensations are not intended to present the whole plan. They are just brief
summary descriptions of the contents of the plan. Please refer to the same titled section in the
detailed plan for a complete description of what is to occur and why.
Summary of Boundary Definitions:
1. How the Permit and the Affected Land Boundaries are defined.
A. The Permit Boundary on the map is a fixed line unless changed through an
amendment approved by the Mined Land Reclamation Board. DO NOT
DISTURB LAND BEYOND THAT LINE TO CONDUCT THE OPERATION.
B. The Affected Land Boundary on the map is a more dynamic boundary that
defines the land within the permit that has been disturbed up to the effective
date of the map PLUS the land that is expected to be disturbed in the future
course of implementing the mining plan. This boundary can change but can
never exceed the Permit Boundary and is always smaller in area than the
permitted land. All land that is disturbed by the operation must eventually be
reclaimed or if not reclaimed accounted for in some other way as a part of the
Reclamation Plan.
General Overview of the Plan:
PHASING CONCEPT-
1. The land included in this revision includes all the land included in the 1986
Amendment prepared by Cooley Gravel Company. However it modifies the
Cooley mining plan to conform to Schmidt Construction Company's plans.
A. The operational concept of major, moderate, and minor disturbance
categories is not used in bonding this plan. Instead bonding is to be
based on actual disturbances and anticipated near future disturbances.
Fountain Pit Technical Revision#3 - June 2022 M-1982-155 Mining Plan Page 1 of 22
