i PART 1 -GENERAL
1.01 Description
1 The Contractor shall furnish ell labor, materiels, tools, equipment, and perform alll
work and services necessary for or incidental to the furnishing and installation,
r complete, of all miscellaneous metals as shown on drawings and as specified, in
~ accordance with provisions of the contract documents, and completely coordinated
with that of all other trades.
A. Although such work is not specifically shown or specified, ell supplementary .
' or miscellaneous items, appurtenances and devices incidental to or necessary
for a sound, secure and complete installation shall be furnished and installed
r as part of this work.
B. Qualifications for Welding Work

Standard Qualification Procedure:'
C. Field Measurements
Take field measurements prior to preparation of shop drawings and fabri•-
r-, cation, where possible, to ensure proper fitting of work. However, do not •
delay job progress; allow for trimming and fitting wherever taking of field
measuremetns before fabrication might delay work.

L D. Inserts and Anchorages
Furnish inserts. and anchoring devices which must be fastened to steell
[_ structure or built into masonry for installation of handrails, grates, trash
racks, r8rlings, and other work. Provide setting drawings, templates,
_ instructions and directions for installation of anchorage devices. Coordinate
~ delivery with other work to avoid delay.

E. Shop Assembly
L Preassemble items in shop to greatest extent possible, so as to minimize:
field splicing and assembly of units at project site. Disassemble units only
to extent necessary for shipping and handling limitations. Clearly marN:
L units for reassembly and coordinated installation.
F. Job Condition
~- Verify suitability of substrata to accept installation. Provide sleeves, em-•
bedded anchors and other built-in items in time for installation; or pay cost:>

G. Store all items such that items are supported and are not in contact with they •
{ ground or exposed to the elements until ready for installation.
