SECTION 02821 -SEEDING AND MULCHING <br />r • <br />PART 1 -GENERAL <br />1.01 Description <br />This work shall consist of furnishing and spreading mulch and sowing seed, and <br />applying water to areas specified. <br />1.02 Submittals <br />The Contractor shall submit statements certifying that the seed furnished is from a <br />lot that has been tested by a recognized seed laboratory within the previous 36 <br />months. The percentage of nitrogen content of fertilizer shall be certified also. <br />1.03 Product Delivery, Storage and Handling <br />Seed shall be delivered to the job site no more than 60 days prior to its application. <br />No seed or fertilizer shall be, or shall have been, stored in any enclosure where <br />herbicides, kerosene or any other material detrimental to seed germination is <br />stored. <br />Seed which has become wet, moldy or otherwise damaged in transit or in storage <br />will not be acceptable. <br />~• <br />1.04 Job Conditions <br />Revegetation will be accomplished as soon as possible after construction. <br />Perennial species will be planted in the fall with a preparatory crop used if con- <br />struction is completed in the spring. <br />PART2-PRODIICTS <br />2.01 Seed Mixtures <br />To be applied as directed in Part 3. <br />A.
