<br />v`- The Type 3 material shall always be placed in contact with the existing soil • <br />r in a layer not less than 4 inches thick. Type 4 material wrll be placed in <br />~ between the Type 3 layer and the riprap in a layer not less than 4 inches. In. <br />no case wrll only one filter material be used. <br />i The finished grade of the riprap shall be as shown on the Drawings. This <br />may require over excavation to accommodate the two layers of granulate <br />~" filter material. Allowances should be made for this requirement. <br />I 3.03 Quality Control <br />A. Tolerance <br />A tolerance of plus or minus 1/4 of the thickness of the maximum size stoma <br />from the lines and grades shown on the Drawings wrll be allowed in the <br />r finished surface. However, the extremes of such tolerance shall not bye <br />( continuous over an area greater than 200 square feet. <br />C B.
