ARCO COAL C0~9PANY <br />- MT.GUNNISON NO..1 ;NINE <br />_ EART[iWORK PACKAGE <br />~, ADDENDUM NO. 2 • <br />- January 5, 1981 <br />The following shall become as fully a part of the above-named Drawings, <br />-- Specifications and Bid Documents as if therein written and shall take full and complete <br />precedence over anything therein contained to the contrary. <br />Each bidder shall indicate on the proposal form his acknowledgment of thi <br />r Addendum. <br />' Each bidder shall be responsible for reading each item of this Addendum to <br />ascertain to what extent and in what manner it affects the work to be performed. <br />1. Section 02200, Page 0220Q-12, Specifications for Runoff Ponds and Freshwater <br />Ponds; add the following: <br />E. Density tests performed on compacted soils to determine compliance with <br />C these specifications shall be performed at the direction and expense o[ the <br />Owner. Nuclear Density Tests will be acceptable for homogeneous fill areas <br />if at least one Sand Cone Density Test is performed for every ten Nuclear <br />Density Tests. The Sand Cone Density Test must be taken adjacent to the <br />preceding Nuclear Density Test. <br />Classifications and compaction curves to be used with the Nuclear Density <br />Test shall be taken and submitted prior to construction. The elassific+atio <br />will also include a description of soil properties, including color, as well <br />the information required under part D of this section. <br />2. Section 02520, page 02520-6, Specifications for Runoff Ponds and Freshwater <br />•- Ponds; Add the following details included in this Addendum: <br />~"- 02520-7 Typical Anti-Seep Collar Construction Detail for Pipe Without <br />_ Cradle. <br />02520-8 Typical Anti-Seep Collar and Concrete Cradle Deta$ Pipe with <br />L Cradle <br />02520-9 Longitudinal Construction Detail of Anti-Seep Collar and Cradle. <br />I <br />`~~ 3. All Plan Sets for Runoff Ponds and Freshwater Ponds, Outlet Works Details; Make <br />Adjust location of all stem guides on stems of sluice gates as follows: The: un- <br />supported length of the stem is to be equally divided.
