Mr.Jordon McCourt accompanied the <br /> inspection and represented GCC Energy,LLC. The mine is an active underground mine. <br /> Paving of La Plata County road 120 was being conducted up to the entrance to the King II Mine. <br /> The weather was warm,dry and sunny. <br /> AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS—Rule 5.02.4(1): <br /> Mine records are stored on the second floor of the Mine office building. The mine records were verified <br /> and the "Availability of Records"form accompanies this report. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05 <br /> Drainage Control 4.05.1,4.05.2,4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5,4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7,4.05.10; <br /> Diversions 4.05.4; Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> Ponds at King L The West Pond is drying out. There is plenty of remaining storage volume in this pond. <br /> GCC plans to complete the sediment cleaning as the pond conditions allow. The East pond was dry and in good <br /> condition. <br /> Ditches throughout the King I facilities area are in good condition and functioning well. The refuse material on <br /> the north east corner of the lower RDA has been pushed to the edge of the clear water diversion ditch. GCC needs <br /> to assure that the refuse material remains clear of the clear water ditch, and pull the material back on to the lower <br /> RDA if necessary. Culverts at the King 1 facilities remain clear and functional. The SAE sediment traps at the <br /> access north of the gate have been cleared of sediment and vehicles are clear of these sediment control structures. <br /> King II pond: Pond 1 was dry at the primary spillway. The pond is in good condition,with adequate vegetation <br /> on the embankments. No concerns were noted with Pond 1. <br /> Ditches at the King II facilities area are clear of debris and functioning well.
